Businesses encouraged in litter-free zone

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport announced in the WCBC Briefing of 2nd February that businesses are being encouraged to register their interest in being seen as a ‘Litter-Free Zone‘ on the Keep Wales Tidy website and help keep the area local to you litter free through regular litter picks. You can go to the Keep Wales Tidy/Caru Cymru website.

You can borrow a litter picking kit through the Caru Cymru Project from your local Keep Wales Tidy Litter Picking Hub or buy your own equipment at a discounted rate from Helping Hand Environmental who are also supporting the scheme; visit the Helping Hands website.

Businesses adopting a Litter-Free Zone will signal to their customers that they are a responsible business that takes the issue of littering seriously. Caru Cymru will provide resources to help businesses publicise your Litter Free Zone status.
